Hi Luca,

you are missing numpy python module. It should be installed as
dependency for matplotlib python module [2] (see Beremiz requirements in
README [1]). Do you have both modules installed?

1. https://bitbucket.org/automforge/beremiz
2. https://packages.debian.org/buster/python-matplotlib

[Beremiz-devel] Beremiz hang after connecting to local server

enorm-2
Hi there,
The issue happens after merging latest Beremiz commit.  The hang line is marked red. Does someone else meet the same issue?

    def StartLocalRuntime(self, taskbaricon=True):
        if (self.local_runtime is None) or (self.local_runtime.exitcode is not None):
            # create temporary directory for runtime working directory
            self.local_runtime_tmpdir = tempfile.mkdtemp()
            # choose an arbitrary random port for runtime
            self.runtime_port = int(random.random() * 1000) + 61131
            # launch local runtime
            self.local_runtime = ProcessLogger(
                self.Log,
                "\"%s\" \"%s\" -p %s -i localhost %s %s" % (
                    sys.executable,
                    Bpath("Beremiz_service.py"),
                    self.runtime_port,
                    {False: "-x 0", True: "-x 1"}[taskbaricon],
                    self.local_runtime_tmpdir),
                no_gui=False,
                timeout=500, keyword=self.local_runtime_tmpdir,
                cwd=self.local_runtime_tmpdir)
            self.local_runtime.spin()
        return self.runtime_port

And another potential issue would be that,  the destroy function will cause Beremiz sigfault intermittently. After changing to Hide, not such issue. It happens in centos 7.

    def _replaceSchemeEditor(self, scheme):
        self.scheme = scheme

        if self.scheme_editor is not None:
            self.editor_sizer.Detach(self.scheme_editor)
            self.scheme_editor.Destroy()
           #self.scheme_editor.Hide()
            self.scheme_editor = None

Regards.

Re: [Beremiz-devel] Beremiz hang after connecting to local server

The issue is cause by set "taskbaricon=true" , I'm using wx python phoenix, the following line need to change. Just post the fix here.

            def MakeIcon(self, img):
                """
                The various platforms have different requirements for the
                icon size...
                """
                if "wxMSW" in wx.PlatformInfo:
                    img = img.Scale(16, 16)
                elif "wxGTK" in wx.PlatformInfo:
                    img = img.Scale(22, 22)
                # wxMac can be any size upto 128x128, so leave the source img alone....
                #icon = wx.IconFromBitmap(img.ConvertToBitmap())
                icon = wx.Icon(img.ConvertToBitmap())
                return icon

Thanks,
Enorm
